New Year's Blog Hop - What Does 2013 Hold?
And the winner is.....JanD! Jan, look for an email from me shortly about your prize.. And, everyone, there are more chance to win - go check out the winners at Carrie Anns!
2012 is down as a big year for me - I saw my first book (and then second and third!) published, our family (RadioMan, bebe and me) celebrated our third year as an official family (adoption is awesome, let me tell you!), I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time in my life...here's my list of the best of 2012:
Best of 2012: As much as I loved Argo and Lincoln, I'm going to say Brave was the best flick of 2012 (for me). Having a 4 year old daughter who loves princesses, it was so great to see a princess who fought for what she wanted in life - and wasn't waiting for her Prince to Come (although I still love the old princess films, too).
Happy To Leave in 2012: All things 50 Shades...I'm just tired of hearing about it.
Most Looking Forward to in 2013: So many things - bebe starts Kindergarten, we're planning a family cruise...and I have new books to write!
Least Looking Forward to in 2013: More talk of the dreaded Fiscal Cliff - and more waffling by politicians who are more interested in keeping their congressional jobs than in actually making change.
Biggest wish for 2013: That violent crime--especially against children--comes to an end.
It's another year over! Can you believe it? Well we authors, readers, and bloggers sure can't. And to celebrate the New Year with bang, we're going crazy and sending out so many prizes, fun parties, experiences, and other goodies, that it's a bit scary. Each author has a favorite New Year memory, book, idea, or way to party and we're going to show you! Can't wait to see you January 1st - 6th!
And while we do that, we are EACH doing a giveaway. Yep. There will be over 200 giveaways on each blog hosted by that Author or Blogger.
But that's not all....
We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!
Vanessa Witte is ready to finally claim her life. The middle of three daughters born into the Witte family - a powerful Texas name - she’s been content to float through life. Being dumped by her shady ex? A blessing in disguise. Having a one-night-stand with Matias Barnes? Not one of her more stellar moments. But she’s back in Lockhardt with a secret and a reason to start fresh: A baby.
Matias Barnes knows all about society women - it’s part of the reason he left his wealthy family behind and took a job on a ranch. He doesn’t like the endless string of parties, the inane conversation, or the gold-digging tricks those women have perfected. But that doesn’t stop him from wanting Vanessa Witte. Mat knows she’s so not right for him, but with her back in Lockhardt, can he resist her charms long enough to really let her go?
Sensuality Level: Sensual

ReplyDeletethanks for visiting, Jennifer!
DeleteEvery New Year's Day I say a little prayer that our world does not experience anything violent or ugly in the new year. I know that sounds naive, but I don't want to see people hurt in any way.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful new year with lots of successes! All the best!
Connie Fischer
conniecape@aol.com
I love this, Connie! Thanks for sharing...I think I'll make this part of my New Year's routine, too.
DeleteFirst off, Connie, that's a beautiful wish!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I agree with the whole 50 Shades thing. When a book that is written so poorly wins Book of the Year just because it has more smut in it than anyone's seen before, it almost makes you want to get out of the business, almost. Especially when you think of those who have worked so hard to improve their trade and whose talent with the art burns so much brighter.
Thirdly, happy new year, Kristina, and may the books you write and publish in 2013 take off like this year's books and fly even higher. It's been great getting to know you this year through the wonderful world of the internet and I wish you all kinds of happiness!
Aw, MJ, you're a sweetheart! It's been my pleasure meeting to many new writer and reader friends this year!
DeleteI agree about 50 Shades and the political circus. I'm raising a toast to an awesome new year for you, Kristi. 2012 was great for me, I'm hoping for more of the same for next year.
ReplyDeletewishing you the absolute best, too, Constance! :)
DeleteThank you for the giveaway. Happy New Year.
